D&B Eventmarketing and FX Agency will become sisters and form a new group together. In this press release you can read all about it. We can imagine that you have questions about this, which is why you can find the answers to the most important questions below.
Will current shareholders Pieter Bas Boertje, Niels Janssen & Peter Zijlstra still be involved?
Yes indeed. The founders will have an additional role within the group, the division of roles being as follows:
- Pieter Bas Boertje: CEO (Chief Executive Officer).
- Niels Janssen: CCO (Chief Creative Officer).
- Peter Zijlstra: COO (Chief Operations Officer).
Besides their work at the group level, they will still remain involved in both companies D&B/FX as you are used to.
Does anything change legally?
Yes and no. FX Agency B.V. and Dechesne & Boertje Business Events B.V. (read: D&B Eventmarketing) will continue to exist as usual. The new group, now still with the temporary name DB-FX B.V. will become 100% shareholder of these two companies. DB-FX in turn has three owners, namely Pieter Bas Boertje, Niels Janssen and Peter Zijlstra, each with their own Personal Holding B.V.
Won’t you guys get very expensive?
The cooperation between the two companies means complementing each other. This means that the pricing as you are used to from us will remain as it is. When working on a joint project, a total price will be communicated.
Will I keep my own account / project manager?
Yes. When working on a project together, the team can however be reinforced with a project/account manager from DB. Of course we will always introduce this with an explanation to our clients.
Can I work with both companies together straight away?
Certainly. Our team will gladly visit you to discuss the requirements and possibilities!

Are you always obliged to work together or do you still work with other suppliers/agencies?
Of course we would like to work together as FX and D&B, but when there are other needs we can deviate from that as well.
Who is the main contractor for my project when I have a new project?
This depends on the nature of the project and we will determine this together based on, for example, where the project ‘originates’, who you have had the nicest contact with so far, what expertise is desired, etc.
How do you handle client data exchange between the 2 agencies?
We are always transparent about any collaboration and will always ask permission before exchanging data.
How do you deal with competitors of mine who are clients of the other agency?
Of course, we always handle all client information confidentially. When appropriate, we work with separate project teams on competing clients. Of course, we always sign an NDA where appropriate.
