Digital Conference

HEINEKEN

How do you gather all your employees from across the globe on one location to speak, listen, share and inspire without leaving an ecological footprint? The HEINEKEN CA Forum event was completely digital, with viewers from all over the world, at home behind their laptops. Curious? View the case video below.

The department Corporate Affairs at HEINEKEN wanted to organise a conference for the people working at CA. After organising multiple physical events, they decided to host a digital conference  this time. Going digital would save costs and, if successful, would allow for multiple online events a year.

Studio

The online event was recorded in a studio with a small audience. During the entire event showcallers were in contact with the hosts and speaker to make sure all transitions ran smoothly.

Approach

Together with HEINEKEN, FX Agency designed an overall event concept with a matching visual identity. The first digital corporate affairs conference was organised in an event space at the Heineken Experience, the “Koelschip”. On Workplace a professional live steam was set-up where HEINEKEN employees from all over the world could view the event. Besides panel discussions, Q&A’s, and a live award ceremony, it included videos from Operating Companies from all over the world.

Interaction was used to keep the viewers’ attention. The audience could ask questions and influence the flow of the digital conference. The event was big succes and since then the CA department has organised a digital conference every six months.

We have transformed an existing live event into a digital format without HEINEKEN having to make any concession on the end result. This online event has really opened the eyes of anyone involved, it saved time, money and had a much smaller ecological impact.
