In March this year, the CEOs from the Netherlands’ largest food manufacturers and companies joined each other for a very special dinner: the Deloitte Net Positive Dinner. Deloitte took the initiative of bringing the attendees together to share a meal and discuss the future of our food chain. FX Agency transformed this dinner into a unique experience.

By combining light, material and colour during the opening, we were able to project three different messages onto canvases, giving attendees a truly striking experience as they entered.

Opening Experience

Five large billboards with continually alternating messages immediately provided a stimulating experience for the arriving guests. Illuminating the billboards with different colours every few seconds brought the alternating texts into view. The objective of this opening experience was to enable the arriving guests to step into another world and immediately prompt them to think about the theme of the dinner. After entering, the guests gathered in a central space where they heard a spoken word artist blend the texts from the billboards to create an inspiring story.

Dinner

As the artist uttered the final sentence, the curtain dropped and guests could take their places among the white shelves for dinner. Among the white shelves, a variety of dishes and speakers highlighted the topic of the evening, with additional support provided by digital content.

The dinner was the kick-off for a movement that we at Deloitte have started. In this movement, we will come together with the entire food chain to work together towards a Net Positive food system

Closing Experience

The Net Positive Dinner was the kick-off for a movement. This movement was highlighted once again during the closing experience, as the guests left the event. Light projected onto the floor literally and figuratively put the guests into motion.
